is a common treatment in facial aesthetics. Subcutaneous injection blocks the expansion of nerve impulses and the consequent activity of the muscles responsible for creating expressive lines on the face.<\/p><p>In a broader sense, we use Botox and similar neuromodulators as part of the process of &#8220;reshaping&#8221; the face. Adittionally, it helps to improve some states of asymmetry, which are also the result of excessive activation of facial muscles. Botox treatment usually does not require the use of anesthetics, but there is a possibility of applying an anesthetic cream before the procedure. At the very beginning, we make a plan (determining the injection sites and doses), with the activation of individual muscle groups on the face in order to determine the exact injection site.<\/p><p>Doctor will apply several injections for each treated area. The whole procedure takes 15-20 minutes.<\/p><p>Very rarely, mild swelling or bruising may occur after the injection, as with any injection. Also, mild to moderate headaches may occur in the first 24 hours of treatment. Due to individual variability in anatomy and muscle function, side effects such as eyebrow or eyelid position disorders can occur, but rarely.
