impaired.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">It is characteristic of a normal and healthy face that the muscles on both sides of the face act in a coordinated manner so that the tone and balance of external characteristics are as natural as possible. Consequently, when paralysis occurs on one side of the face, the normal side is often affected.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Damage to certain nerves in these cases can lead to loss of eye tone or a fall in the corner of the mouth on that side. This condition is already visible at rest.
